The Astroworld Festival is one of the most sought out Music Festivals in the World. Furthermore, It is run by American Rapper, Singer, and Record Producer Travis Scott. The Venue is the old Six Flags Astroworld which used to be a seasonal Amusement Park. It is situated in Huston Texas at the NRG Park. However, The festival started back in 2018 when Travis Scott released his album with the same name. This was the first time Astroworld was planned as a multi-day event. Furthermore, The Festival was scheduled to be held on the dates from the 5th of November to the 6th. However, Due to the unfortunate events that took place the festival is canceled indefinitely.
What Actually Happened
The Incident took place on the 5th Of November, The first day of the Festival. Reports claim at least 8 people died. Eleven suffered from cardiac arrests and Seventeen were taken to hospitals for better care. Furthermore, About 300 people were treated at the facility at the venue. However, The crowd compression happened during one of Travis Scott’s performances. According to Houston Fire Department Chief Samuel Pena. The compression took place at around 9 PM as crowds started to move towards the stage. This lead to panic among the masses and started a series of events that lead to 8 people losing their lives.
Exactly what caused their untimely demise is yet unclear. However, we are waiting on the Corner reports to know the exact reason. Furthermore, According to Pena people spontaneously began to fall unconscious which lead to additional panic. About 50,000 people attended Travis Scott Astroworld. And apart from those who have been hospitalized the rest of the attendees are totally fine. Many were treated at the scene as many were seen given CPR. The medical team present there was quick to act. Which lead to casualties being low compared to the number of people that were actually present.

The future is not looking great for Travis Scott Fans. The Festival is effectively canceled. We can expect it to remain canceled till they find and address the exact reason for the mass causality event. The agency will most probably refund the money spent on the concert tickets.
